Crime prevention district (CPD)

Westminster Place and Pine Park are in the Westminster Pine Park Crime Prevention and Neighborhood Improvement District, created by state statute, La. R.S. 33:9097.11.  

Participation in the crime prevention district (CPD) is mandatory.  Each homeowner is charged an annual parcel fee of $100.  Payment is collected by the sheriff’s office at the same time as property taxes.  The district pays off-duty sheriff’s deputies to patrol.

We are NOT in the city limits of Baton Rouge.

• Police protection is provided by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office (389-5000); Burbank Substation (389-5511).
• Fire protection is provided by the St. George Fire Protection District (454-6550). 
• Call 911 for police and fire emergencies.
